Track all permission and membership changes in your workspace
Activity Logs
The Logs tab provides a complete audit trail of important workspace activities. Use it to track who joined, who was removed, role changes, settings changes, and security-related events.
Actions
View Activity Log Admin
See the history of workspace changes.
- Open Workspace Settings → Logs
- Browse the chronological list of events (newest first)
- Hover over timestamps for the exact date and time
Only admins can access the Logs tab. Non-admin members do not see this tab in Workspace Settings.
Filter by Category Admin
Focus on specific types of events.
- Open Workspace Settings → Logs
- Click the Filter dropdown
- Select a category:
- All — Show all events
- Members — Join, leave, and role changes
- Requests — Access request activity
- Visibility — Permission and access changes
- Settings — Workspace configuration changes (name, icon, URL, domains)
- The log updates to show only matching events
Understand Log Entries
Each log entry shows:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Icon | Visual indicator of the event type (e.g., user added, role changed) |
| Actor | Who performed the action (avatar + name) |
| Description | What happened (e.g., "changed role from Viewer to Editor") |
| Target | Who or what was affected |
| Timestamp | When it occurred (relative time, hover for exact) |
Event Types
Member Events
| Event | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Member Added | A user joined the workspace (via invite acceptance) |
| Member Removed | A user was removed from the workspace by an admin |
| Role Changed | A member's role was updated (e.g., Viewer → Editor) |
Request Events
| Event | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Request Created | A user requested access to a restricted source |
| Request Approved | An admin approved an access request |
| Request Denied | An admin denied an access request |
| Request Cancelled | The user cancelled their own request |
Settings Events
| Event | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Name Changed | Workspace name was updated |
| Icon Changed | Workspace icon or colour was updated |
| URL Changed | Workspace slug was changed |
| Domains Changed | Allowed email domains were added or removed |
Real-Time Updates
The activity log updates in real-time. When another admin makes changes elsewhere in the workspace, new log entries appear automatically without refreshing.
