Export a Workspace

Keep a portable copy of shared workspace content, choose Standard or Full, and understand exclusions and expiry

An owner or admin can download a portable copy of shared workspace content in Settings → General → Export. Choose Standard or, as an owner, Full, then select Request export. You can keep working or close the page while Integrity prepares it. Each ready export sends one email with a link back to Export.

Members cannot request exports. Only the person who requested an export can download it, signed in to Integrity in a browser. Coding agents, the Integrity MCP server and the AI Workspace can explain Export and link to the section, but cannot start, retry or download one.

Choose Standard or Full

Standard includes shared content you can access. Full also includes shared content in private Teams, even when the owner cannot open those Teams in the app. Full does not change anyone's app access. Only an owner can request Full; admins can request Standard.

Both modes include only the shared content listed below, including active and archived content where stated. Neither includes Recently Deleted content or document revision history.

Meeting recordings are not included. Original uploaded attachments are included for supported shared objects when available. A link to an excluded or inaccessible object does not expose its hidden title or content. Shared work keeps readable author names, including former members and deleted accounts.

Open the ZIP

When the status is Ready, select Download ZIP and extract the archive. Start with index.html for links to the included objects and files, Links between exported files work offline. CSV files provide structured lists; Markdown files hold readable documents, comments and summaries. This is a copy for reading and reuse; Integrity cannot import it to restore a workspace.

Object files use their titles, Issue keys where available, and original attachment names. Active Meeting Minute names use the meeting date; a meeting without a date uses the export's creation date in UTC. File names are made safe for common operating systems: path separators and traversal are removed, reserved names such as CON are renamed, trailing dots and spaces and control characters are removed, long names are capped at a complete character boundary, and collisions are numbered. The readable name is retained rather than replaced with only a database id.

Expiry and changed access

An export expires exactly seven days after it becomes ready. Its Available until date stays the same after a restore. Download it before that deadline and keep the copy wherever you need it; an email link does not extend the deadline.

Integrity checks your current role and access again on every download. If you lose the access used to create the archive, the download is refused. Gaining access later does not add content to an existing ZIP. Request a new export for a fresh copy.

Partial and stopped exports

Ready with omissions means the archive is partial, such as when an attachment could not be read. Check the archive's missing-files.json and index before relying on it. A partial export does not count as a complete downloaded copy for deletion reminders. You can request a new export to try again.

An interrupted or failed export has no downloadable archive. A Stopped row offers Start again, which requests a new copy using that export's type. The original row remains a record of the stopped request.

Personal items

Personal items belong to the person, rather than the shared workspace record. They are never included in a workspace export, including the requester's own Personal Meeting Minutes and personal views. Owners and admins cannot use Full to open or export another person's personal items. AI conversations, favorites and drafts are also excluded. A separate personal data export is not available yet.

Today, when a person leaves or is removed from a workspace, their personal items stay stored but nobody can open them while the person is no longer a member. They remain stored until the workspace is deleted. Shared work stays in the workspace with the former member's name. See Members and Meeting Minutes.

Deletion and restore

Export never blocks deletion. If you want a copy, download it before scheduling deletion: the workspace closes immediately, so you cannot request or download an export while it is scheduled for deletion. Deleting the workspace stops exports that are queued or being prepared.

The delete dialog offers Export your workspace unless you already started downloading a complete export that is still within its seven days. Owner reminders 7 days and 24 hours before permanent deletion say To keep a copy, restore the workspace and export it before the deadline. They omit this advice for an owner who started downloading a complete export that was still unexpired when deletion was scheduled.

Restore the workspace before its 30-day deadline to export again. An export that was running shows Stopped with Start again. A ready export remains available until its original seven-day deadline; restore does not restart that clock. Permanent workspace removal also removes the stored export, but cannot remove copies already downloaded.
