Remediation

Fix Integrity findings through guided navigation, hard blocks, informational review, and human-approved proposal workflows.

Remediation is how you move from a finding to a fix. Integrity keeps remediation explicit because requirements, trace links, imports, baselines, approvals, and evidence are regulated source-of-truth data.

Open a remediation target Admin Editor Viewer

On the Findings tab, use a finding's action button to open the relevant surface. Depending on the finding, this might open:

  • an artefact
  • a source
  • Trace Schema settings
  • the Coverage tab
  • an import report or import workbench
  • a baseline
  • a filtered Integrity view

Viewers can follow read-safe routes. Fixing most findings requires editor or admin permissions on the relevant workspace, source, or workflow.

Remediation modes

ModeMeaning
Guided navigationIntegrity opens the surface where a human can review and fix the issue.
Safe quick fixA narrow, reversible action could apply directly. V1 currently has no safe quick fixes.
Agent proposalAn assistant may explain, group, or draft a proposal, but apply still requires human review.
Hard blockThe workflow cannot proceed until the underlying issue is fixed.
InformationalNo change is required; the finding records context or an advisory condition.

In v1, Integrity has no direct auto-fix allowlist. It guides you to the right product surface and keeps blocking checks authoritative in those workflows.

Fix hard blocks Admin Editor

Hard blocks usually come from workflows that would otherwise create unsafe evidence:

  • import readiness blockers
  • duplicate or colliding identifiers
  • duplicate Trace Schema rules
  • baseline required-link blockers

Use the finding action to open the owning workflow. The owning workflow decides when the issue is resolved. For example, baseline locking remains controlled by baseline eligibility checks, not by the Integrity page alone.

Review informational findings Admin Editor Viewer

Informational findings can still be useful. A shared identifier prefix or source-to-self Trace Schema warning may be intentional, but Integrity keeps it visible so the workspace can review it deliberately.

Use proposal drafts Admin Editor

The Findings tab can draft a remediation proposal preview from selected findings. A proposal preview can explain impact, group related findings, and link to remediation surfaces.

It does not:

  • create links
  • edit identifiers
  • change requirements text
  • update imports
  • lock baselines
  • approve reviews
  • write evidence
